network path on disk library

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Hi everyone

After successful installation of commvault, i am unable to add disk library using Network path from a shared folder. it keeps giving me the error “Failed to verify the device from Media Agent with the error (failed to log on user to write file…….)  .

the user has been given full permission right as admin but not working out.

what could be the problem?

Hello @Tomipe

Can you please disable Windows UAC in Media Agents and try?

@Tomipe , thanks for the post!  Looking at others who have had this issue, it’s generally an issue with the credentials (i.e. a typo in the password).

Can you retype them in?  I have seen copy and pasting from Word be an issue (it copies hidden characters) so try typing it in manually.

Thanks @Mike Struening for the swift response.

i just tried that but not working also. is there any special right the user needs and could the problem be that the repository server does not have any agent installed on it.

I actually did All in one installation on a server, then the repository is on another server with no Agent installed on it but it can reach the commvault server through the network,
