Hi Team,

DB team is trying to automate in place restores for RAC server and wants to know where they can find the below parameter value to allocate channels from their end. attached script for the reference which I saved from CommVault.

it looks like 1756 & 1757 is node server value. any idea how CommVault taking this value ?

<racDataStreamAllcation>1756 4</racDataStreamAllcation>

<racDataStreamAllcation>1757 0</racDataStreamAllcation>

Script has been saved from commvault

Hi @Allan0105

Its not recommended to override the values generated via console.

The DBA could use RMAN script by following the documentation https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/21112_oracle_rac_restore_examples_using_rman_command_line_interface.html

SBT Parameters → https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/21262_oracle_rac_agent_sbt_parameters.html

Let us know in case of any other questions.

Regards,

Gowri Shankar

Hey @Allan0105 - if this is not configurable via the GUI I don't think you can specify/override it in the save as script output. Sometimes Commvault will insert values there that are non-modifyable depending on the app.

That being said, I’m no oracle expert so let me see if I can get somebody to check this out.
