Hi,

I’m trying to record answer file for Commserve Active and Passive unattended installation. Unfortunately when I create custom package for CS with Failover it doesn’t ask whether it’s for Active or Standby Commserve, so the answer file I got allows me only to install Active Commserve.

Is it possible to create answer file for Stanby Commserve installation?

Hi @Robert Horowski

Please review the documentation below for such task

Unattended Installation of CommServe LiveSync Setup

https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/115848_unattended_installation_of_commserve_livesync_setup.html

Standby CommServe Host

==
Verify and ensure that the production CommServe host installation is successfully completed before installing the standby CommServe host.

Copy the custom package to the server in which you plan to setup a standby CommServe host.

Navigate to the location where the custom package was copied, and install the packages in the silent mode using the following command:

setup.exe /silent /play install.xml /standbynode /activecshostname <Production_CS_hostname>

Thanks,
