Intellisnap tcp ports

Forum|alt.badge.img+9

Hello,

is there a documentation which TCP ports between Media Agents and Netapp system (management interface??) are used by Intellisnap and Snapdiff Backups of CIFS and NFS shares and VMWare backup? We have to configure firewall systems.

Thank you.

Intellisnap and NetApp

For snap-based operations, open port 443 (HTTPS) between the CommServe computer or MediaAgent and the NetApp server. Source: https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=33744_1.htm

VSA Agent Port Requirements: In an environment with firewalls, the vCenter, ESX servers, and Virtual Server Agent must be able to communicate with each other. To ensure that all components can communicate through the firewall, ensure that the ports for web services (default: 443) and TCP/IP (default: 902) are opened for bidirectional communication on each of these machines.

Hi @ThomasG , thanks for the post!  We have a list of the standard ports that need to be opened.

I’ll ask around and see if there’s anything additional needed here.

Hi all, are we sure we need also the CommServe to reach NetApp?
Usually this job should be done just by the MediaAgent.
