Hello everyone,

We still have some questions regarding IntelliSnap. I’d like to confirm if auxiliary copies made with IntelliSnap always use SAN and what requirements are needed to enable this functionality.

We appreciate your assistance. 🥺🙏🏽

Thanks in advance!

Capabilities will vary across storage platforms. Can you provide any details on your setup?

I would also recommend you take a look at Supported Hardware Storage Arrays as a starting point.

Hello @Erase4ndReuseMedia ,

Thank you for your response!

Our storage setup includes an HPE StoreOnce 3660. Could you provide guidance on whether IntelliSnap auxiliary copies will utilize SAN in this configuration, or if there are specific requirements for this functionality?

I'll also review the Supported Hardware Storage Arrays documentation as you suggested.

Thanks again for your assistance!

What is the primary array, in which snapshots would be taken?

Hello @Erase4ndReuseMedia ,

The primary array for our snapshots is a Pure Storage FlashArray.

Thank you for your help!

I will need to defer to someone with experience with Pure Storage, but if your target is StoreOnce I would have expected that you’d be reliant on Backup Copy for the secondary copy.
