How to delete a client from COmmvault which has a backup job on worm Copy

We have some clientes on worm storage policy. Those clients have been shut down. we do not need that clients and their backup anymore. How can I delete them from Commvaut?I I tried manuel deletion, I tried to mark backup job as bad , and I tried to delete via RetireClients worfklow but IT did not work.

we need to delete all those clients and their jobs from commvault

Hi ​@ETO,

Since the existing clients are associated with a policy where Compliance/WORM copy is active, the system will not allow client deletion until the WORM copy is disabled in the associated policy.

  1. Refer to the article below for steps to generate the authorization code required to disable the WORM copy.
  2. Disable the WORM copy for the policy where clients are associated with.
  3. Once disabled, proceed with deleting the clients and associated jobs.
  4. Ensure to re-enable the WORM copy after completing the deletion process.
