Hi OP Team,

There are no limitations as such in adding space to the library, however, based on the issue you are facing, here are some recommendations to check:

  1. Is it a Full verification or Incremental(default)?
  2. What is the DDB QnI (Query and Insert) percentage? A Q&I percentage exceeding 70% of the two milliseconds threshold is considered high and may indicate performance issues.
  3. Is the DDB verification slow for all DDB engines or just for one? This helps rule out any specific engine-related bugs.
  4. There is a known bug in FR 36, which was fixed in version 11.36.47. In this bug, DDB verification runs slowly in Phase 1 when transitioning to Phase 2 and may sometimes fail. Hotfix pack 47 will have the bugfix for the same.
  5. Although your backups are running smooth, but during backups, only new (unique) data blocks are added after referencing older (secondary) blocks, whereas during verification, all data blocks (old and new) are read, depending on the verification type—so if the DDB size is very large, the verification job will take longer.
