We run for some client backups with 30 day retention.
For audit purposes we run every 3 months a Backup Summary Report over the last 90 months
But only the last 30 days show up. Makes sense in a way as jobs are aged.
Is there a way to have also the information of the other 60 days for which the jobs are already aged?
We only need to know how many backups have run and how many of them were successful.
I already had a look at the setting in the "Data Aging” tab under “Media Agent” in the "Control Panel” but this seems to be default and for most rules keeps 90 days of history.
thanks
Danny
PS We know we can run it every month but we are looking for the simplest way.
Definition: Specifies the number of days to retain successfully completed backup job history data after it is pruned.
Default Value: 7
Range: 0 to 5000
Usage: Retaining job history for longer or shorter periods may be required for compliance, auditing, or other reasons. Successful backup job history is retained for as long as the data is restorable plus the number of days specified here. Increasing this number might be prudent if you are doing trend analysis on information contained within the backup job histories.
