File System Backups completing with errors

File System Backup completing with errors :-

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process . 

logs have been attached for reference 

 

Troubleshooting done :- a) Restarted Commvault & VSS Services on Client Machine 

 

As per logs there are multiple file extensions so if exclusions are to be setup , it would be global ones or specific to client

These files should be backed up if you select below:

For locked files only

Select this option to use a software snapshot to perform the backup of locked files.

Some applications and system programs lock certain files while in use (open).

If you do not select this option, files that are locked are skipped during the backup job.

Can you check your VSS Providers and use the below key:

@Sebastien Merluzzi  Thanks for the help, vss & system state writers are all stable . implemented the additional key but still it same no of file are getting failed .

@Sebastien Merluzzi , do you need to run a full for this to start taking effect?  i.e. the Incremental will keep using the settings from the Full it is based upon?

Ok.  If not, might be best to open a support case (and share the case number here so I can track it).  That reg key should have done it.

Can you check the providers by running vssadmin list providers ?

Can you run a Full Backup?

If it is still failing, please log a case with Support.

Last backup completed but in failed files it showed 408 as count
