Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hello everyone,

I have sap for oracle client with oracle version 19 and brtools patch level 47.
Simpana version is V11 SP16.

Before the oracle upgrade I was able to make backups successfully, after the upgrade I always get this error:BR0229I Calling backup utility with function 'backup'...BR0278I Command output of '/usr/sap/MFP/SYS/exe/run/brtools -f newgroup /usr/sap/MFP/SYS/exe/run/backint -u MFP -f backup -i /oracle/MFP/sapbackup/.bfjpvmzu.lst -t file -c':/bin/sh: line 1: 552057 Segmentation fault      (core dumped) ( /usr/sap/MFP/SYS/exe/run/backint -u MFP -f backup -i /oracle/MFP/sapbackup/.bfjpvmzu.lst -t file -c )BR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2022-07-25 19:00:02BR0279E Return code from '/usr/sap/MFP/SYS/exe/run/brtools -f newgroup /usr/sap/MFP/SYS/exe/run/backint -u MFP -f backup -i /oracle/MFP/sapbackup/.bfjpvmzu.lst -t file -c': 139BR0232E 0 of 6 files saved by backup utilityBR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2022-07-25 19:00:02BR0231E Backup utility call failedCan be a problem with brtools patch level?

Hi @Sérgio Batalha

Looks like the process is crashing

Could you try running brconnect to check the connection using brtools

su - <orasid / sidadm>

brconnect -u / -c -f check

Also provide the output of

ls -l /usr/sap/MFP/SYS/exe/run/backint

ls -l /opt/commvault

Regards,

Gowri Shankar

@Sérgio Batalha following up on this one.

Were you able to get this resolved?  I don’t see an incident in your name.
