If you look in the Device Manager on the MediaAgent, do all of the tape drives drivers show as present and in a good state?  Is the MediaAgent that the tape library is attached to online and communicating?

You said one MA because tape is a shared library between multiple MA? But for now is irrilevant.

Note that the reset library operation will fail if there are jobs running on the library. There are no pending jobs? I think yes but possible.

You can use TapeToolGui how can find on base folder and use it to test device.

Lastly you can Deconfigure Library and Configure again

Deconfiguring a tape library deletes the library as a storage target and also disables the software communication between the MediaAgent and the device.

Good luck.
