A customer has almost 9000 mailboxes. What is the best way for me to back them up? To go by de default all mailboxes way works but at the same time it takes quite a while. I have configured 5 apps and 10 streams.

Would we get to the finishline faster if we have the customer to greate different ad groups containing mailboxes from a to z ?

Hello @Kim Andre

For starters I would increase the apps/streams. Also are you using just one proxy machine?

For 10K mailboxes its recommended as per above 10apps 20streams per node. Note the amount of data\messages is generally more relevant than the number of mailboxes.

Creating AD groups can help here but I think one per letter might be a little over kill. This only issue is waiting for that first full backup to complete, once that is complete is incremental forever so they would be quick.
