Sharepoint 2010 backup on version 11.32

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hi all,

We’ve got SharePoint Server 2010 on Windows Server 2008 R2, and the CV agent is currently on version 11.24.

After upgrading to 11.32, backup keeps failing with the following error:

Error Code: [27:209]
Description: Failed to Initialize necessary components. Please look into logs for details .
Process: CVSPScan

CVSPScan.log:

4012  1     01/16 12:18:42 4419945 CVSPServerFactory2013 CreateInstanceFromAssembly - Exception creating instance CVSPDocServer2010Namespace.CVSPDocServer2010 from CVSPDocServer2010 - System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'CVSPDocServer2010Namespace.CVSPDocServer2010' to type 'CVSPServerInterfaceNamespace.ICVSPServerInterface2013'.

4012  1b70  01/16 12:18:42 4419945 InitializeComInterface() -  Instance creation failed :(
4012  1b70  01/16 12:18:42 4419945 CVSPScan::Initialize() - Initialize com interface failed.

I ran CVSPCompatibilitycheck and all permissions are granted.

Is there any way to backup this version of Sharepoint on 11.32 or it’s already deprecated?

Regards, Mateusz

Just to confirm, even if we have locally installed version 11.24, it won't run, right?

I dont think so. We expect CV binaries to be in same version to have backups and restores work seamlessly.
