Can I save two backups from different subclients on a single tape?

not necessarily at the same time, but that they use the same tape.

I created a pool with 5 tapes for the week, and I run the daily backup every day. I want to configure subclient1 and subclient2 to use the same tape.

I have already limited the use of the drive in the storage, but when I run the backup, each subclient uses a different tape.

What would be the best configuration for this case?

Tapes are always linked to the storage policy and the media group(scratch pool)  irrespective of the number of subclients . If multiple subclients are part of the same storage policy copy/Plan then it uses the same tapes which are part of the Media Group /Scratch pool defined in the Storage policy copy/Plan . By default the setting “Use appendable media” is enabled on the tape library properties which uses the appendable media available unless you enable the option “Use new media” for the specific backup job . Kindly refer to the KB article listed below for additional information specific to the conditions of appendable media’s not being used 

Media marked as Appendable is not re-used
