Hi all,

I would like to ask you if it is possible to add NFS share as Disk library in the CV. If so, is it necessary to mount the NFS share to the media agent before adding it?

Yes, this is supported, See → https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/expert/9299_creating_disk_library.html

Note: If the MediaAgent is a UNIX/Linux MediaAgent, then you must select the Local Path option. To access an Network File System (NFS) share, you must mount the share to your UNIX/Linux MediaAgent. Once the share is mounted, it appears as another local directory on the system. You can provide this directory location in the local path. Configure the NFS mount option local_lock to none. The Commvault software does not support local_lock option set to all, posix or flock, as these settings can cause data inconsistency. If you apply any of these configurations, the mount paths may not come online.

Do not create mount paths using NFS shares on Windows MediaAgents, as it could cause potential data corruption.

@Jos Meijer  @Onno van den Berg  one addditional question to this , we have mounted the nfs as   dataturbo share in the linux server , and we have 4 linux server and 4 data turbo shared ,

created the disk library as local disk , ,how do we share it with other MA ,

example i create local disk \\MA1\D\DISKlib

if i share it to MA 2 , MA3 .MA4 and if MA1 is down all library showing down

my goal is all the 4 MA to have read write access to the library
