Hi CV team,

For a backup size on a file server around 60TB of data what is the best strategy from Commvault backup that will have a good RPO and RTO?

Kindly consider which data protection type or a combination of them will help to attain the good RPO and RTO as the primary requirements.

Aggressive RPO/RTO is always maximized by replication type technologies. Commvault Auto Recovery supports replication of file servers:

Hi @Damian Andre ,

We are not in to FS replication were looking for as the objective is to backup the huge amount of data using an an agent base backup with which backup type is better to use for our case. Add to this if there are any Commvault tunning or settings that we could apply when configuring backup and when doing restore that will help to increase the speed of backup and restore given the current infrastructure as is.

thanks for the inputs I appreciate it.

Can you share any details on your File Server?

Is it a server-based solution, or array / appliance based, etc?

Hi @Erase4ndReuseMedia ,

It's a server-based solution installed with Windows 2022.
