I just recently noticed an error during my OneDrive Online backups causing the jobs to fail. The error I’m getting is

“Section size is greater than 2gb, Consider splitting into multiple sections As the section continues to grow in size, please consider deleting this section and splitting it into smaller sections of less than 2 GB”.

Is this something I can fix on my own?

Hi @AlexAsks,

Thanks for reaching out on the Metallic community! Yes, this is something you can resolve on your own as this is typically related to storage quota.

First, you’ll want to check the list of your OneDrive users under the OneDrive application to review if the quota is enabled, or the users have ever accessed their accounts.

It’s typically a best practice to have OneDrive quota enabled and a OneDrive license assigned. Typically if this isn’t enabled and the user is part of the backup content, you’ll see the failure you mentioned above.

You can also take a look here: Adding OneDrive Quota-Enabled Users Using Microsoft Dynamics Azure AD Group

Let me know if that helps

Thanks

Mike
