Can we use different size CommCell server for HA DR (live sync) feature and change accordingly whenever required before making failover

as a part of GCP cost saving, can we use small size CommCell server (standby) for HA DR (live sync) feature and change accordingly whenever required before making failover from active to passive server to make it active.

@ShrikantYeole , as long as the SQL version is the same, the hardware should not matter.

However, as soon as the failover happens (and it’s not like you’d have warning in a true emergency) you’d potentially have performance issues.

Thanks mike for the understanding and details, let me try it.

you are right It does not have any impact whether you use same hardware or not until you failover to another CommServe, it only need compute which requires to replicate SQL DB another CommServe.

And you can scale-out the resources by bumping the offering once a failover is required.
