Failed to install dotnetfx35role2012

Hi,

 

we try to install an MA 11.28.34 on a new windows server 2022:

 

MA+VSA:

 

5940  1     12/02 12:14:20 ### ### ### - Error: Failed to install dotnetfx35role2012 with error code 0x8024402C.  
5940  1     12/02 12:14:20 ### ### ### - Set application exit code=[Failed]
5940  1     12/02 12:14:20 ### ### ### - Apply prerequisites completed ...  Status = -2145107924
5940  1     12/02 12:14:20 ### ### ### - Error: Installation failed. Please check the logs at [C:\Program Files\Commvault\ContentStore\Log Files].
5940  1     12/02 12:14:20 ### ### ### - Set application exit code=[FailedInstallThirdParty]

 

The Server has no internet connection and the feature is also not installed. I dont understand why dotnet35 ?

 

Now i installed fillesystem first with success and now i´m adding MA component

Hi @SSchmidt , I found a case with this exact issue.

- Locked down CS install fails due to .Net 3.5

- Advised adding Regkey below to block the Windows check for .Net 3.5 →

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/waas-wu-settings

Otherwise, install .net manually to get around it.
