Hi Everyone,

Is there a way to set maximum concurrent restores per replication group/VSA proxy for LiveSync for VMware? Running re-sync of all VMs at the same can be problematic.

Thanks!

Hey @euMike !

This should help:

To enable multiple jobs to run for each replication schedule, create the maxJobsPerSyncSchedule additional setting for CommServeDB.GxGlobalParam to specify the maximum number of jobs that can be run for each replication schedule. When the value for this setting is greater than 1, multiple replication jobs execute simultaneously for each schedule, with each job using a separate stream. This setting enables schedules with large numbers of virtual machines to complete more quickly.

The default should only be one restore per replication group - so it's throttled that way already. The setting @Mike Struening mention allows multiple jobs for a replication group and therefore can achieve more streams (restores) per group at once. If you want to limit the number of jobs that run at once, you can use Job throttling: https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11_sp20/article?p=6822.htm
