Hi,

The current set up is all in physical server for Commserve and another physical server is for Media Agent and iProxy together. Commserve server is running on Windows Server, while Media Agent in on RHEL.

The question is, can I virtualize all into a virtual machine? and

How is process to P2V?

Thank you.

Hi @basisbay.

Yes. you can do what we call a hardware refresh for both physical machine and these components.

Here is the CS process: https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/expert/commserve_hardware_refresh_overview.html

Here is the MA process: https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/expert/mediaagent_hardware_refresh_overview.html

Please review these articles and procedures and let me know if any questions.
