Hi @ETO,

With NFS we mount the NFS Share to the Worker Pod to perform the read of data.

The transfer of data from Pod to Access Node is done via the kube-apiserver.

Best Regards,

Michael

Hello ETO,

For OpenShift, configure as Kubernetes cluster, refer to the documentation here: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/protecting_kubernetes_with_commvault.html

Requirements can be found here: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/system_requirements_for_kubernetes.html

We leverage an Access Node to manage the backups from the K8s side into Commvault.

We do deploy temporary “Worker Pods” for each Volume to protect, In order to mount the volume/pvc of snap to read the Data and send it to our Access Node. (Machine with Agent installed).

Backup Process is outlined here: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/backup_process_for_kubernetes.html

Best Regards,

Michael
