Commvault VSA Proxy for VMware ( Hotadd transport) Build best practice

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

I would like to ask for opinions /best practice from field experts on how to build a properly configured VMware VSA proxy which is going ot be use
primarily using the hotadd transport.  I have not seen any information in Commvault books online on the details on how to build.

Information I am looking such as:
1. How many disks and sizes for each
2. Block size for each disk
3. disk configuration settings and state

Any information provided will help

Please note this is for Commvault v11.24 or later and running Windows Server 2022 etc.

Aside from a standard practice of installing Commvault Agents to a dedicated / non-OS disk, I’m not convinced there is much opportunity to improve VSA performance by tuning those settings.

For Hot-Add, I would focus on CPU and Memory, and the number of SCSI Controllers attached to the VSA Access Node.

One crucial thing about hotadd and VMware - the order of IDs of scsi controllers:
