Content Indexing (v2) for Exchange Mailbox not needed any more - how to delete Index contents?

there is a way to delete the Index folder manually, but it might be a bit risky as it could impact the search engine. If you prefer, you can retain the index in accordance with the data retention policy to ensure it's preserved.

Hello

Your post points to “Pruning the content indexes along with the data is the default behavior.”. We would like to keep arching jobs while pruning/deleting only Search Engine entries related to these jobs.

Ok set the retention period for the indexed data or you can either delete the content in the Index directory manually  

This way, the content indexes will be pruned before the data is pruned

Just deleting content of Search Engine directory? Not gentle/sophisticated way ;) Maybe something more official & graceful?

dont worry ​@Maciek we do this alot for many CSTs during hardware refreshes for the search engine servers.
after removing the old search engine node from the CommCell, we simply delete it manually.

note: please ensure that content indexing is disabled first.

You assumed Ive deleted Search Engine node from the console what is wrong. This Search Engine is used and will be used for o365. We would like to delete only Exchange mailbox part of this Search Engine
