Stagger jobs in schedule policy

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

Quick question.

I understand the longest time per backup task is 10 seconds. Is there someway to get around that limitation?

If no, that’s ok. I’ll just break out clients into separate schedule policies.

@Kevin O'Neill what’s your end goal?  If you are interested in staggered backup times, check out this thread on using plans:

The end goal is we have a schedule that starts 50+ NDMP full backup jobs on a Saturday at the same time. Unfortunately, there are other production jobs (not relating to CV) that run on the same NAS device. These prod jobs are affected by the ndmp backup read activity, causing issues.

I wanted to stagger all jobs in the one backup schedule  to start at different to alleviate the backup IO on the NAS.

I am going to simply create a couple more schedules to help in this matter. Thank you for the article you linked. Much appreciated
