Data Verification on DDB

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Hello,

I am running Data Verification on a DDB. The Total Application Size of the DDB is 930TB. Does the Data Verification job need to process then entire 930TB? I’m not getting accurate estimated completion time as the job is showing as 99% complete with 600TB processed. It keeps adding more jobs for processing. Just want to make sure that I am on the right track.

Thanks in advance.

Fergus

Hello @FergusM
If you are performing a DDB verification then it will check all of the primary blocks just once so the amount of data processed should just be the size on disk.

If you are performing a Job based verification and you have picked all the jobs, it will go one by one and validate each block for each job, this created a huge amount of extra work and not the recommended method.
