Hi Vaulters,

I have a question regarding a new full linux 11.36 config done entirely using the Command Center.

I recently installed a Grid of 2 Linux Media Agents with each its DA SAN FC storage. I created a disk library with 2 mount paths and 2 dedup partitions.

On the properties of each mount point I can see the path of the mount point of the Media Agent that hosts the block storage but I also can see a path  “via network” from the other Media Agent.

Anybody know the nature of this “network” share? Is that a dataserver-ip share? Anybody knows a way to use a good old NFS share between the 2 MA in a grid without the Java console?

This is a requirement when you create a grid of two or more MA than the MA that do not own the storage do have access to it in case of restore or auxiliary copy operation. This via network is Data Server IP that MA owner of the storage presents via network to the other MA’s.

More info here: https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/sharing_mount_path_using_dataserver_ip.html

Thx Ledoesp,

I really would like to use a classic NFS Share between my 2 MA instead of the Dataserver-IP but I could not find any way to achieve it with the Command Center.
