Dears

I am newbie to Commvault and now we implemented Commvault at our Hotel everything works fine except we can't backup Opera server. So if any one has a guideline on how to backup the opera server to share it with me I will be grateful for him.

Hi Saadhom,

Generally speaking when there is a database server, we always recommend to use the database specific agent to protect the DB + using a File System or VM backup to protect the entire machine in case you are running an application on top the DB.

In this case if Opera Server is having an standard Oracle DB in backend and there is a Hotel management application on top, you can use a combination of Oracle agent + VSA (VM) agent to have a full protection for this server. If Server is not a VM then use File System agent instead of VSA.

Cheers,

Ali
