Question

how to schedule a restore job from the future

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

hello,

Can a restore job be created or scheduled for a backup that hasn't happened yet?

For instance:

I would like to perform a restore every Sunday using the backup that occurred last Friday.

Hi @Maoz ,

This is not an option as you would need to Browse the Backup and select what you would like to restore.

Now for Vmware we have an option which you can enable.

https://documentation.commvault.com/11.20/backup_validation_for_vmware_vms.html

Best Regards,

Sebastien

Hi Sebastien,

thank you

the validate process performs a live mount and not really a restore

I need to perform a restore (which will replace/overwrite the old VM every Sunday, with the “new” backup from last Friday)

Can I use the validate processor this kind of a restore?

kind regards,
