Hi

software_installation_directory\CommserveDR

This folder contains the SQL DMP files, typically generated every day at 10am

(Unless the config is changed and this initial dump folder is moved elsewhere)

Do the DMP files remain in the folder ‘up until’ the next days DMP files are generated

OR

Does the entire ‘folder’ get wiped/deleted at a pre defined time each day (eg possibly at mid night)

I’ve never checked this before and have a test running to see if the ‘folder’ is erased or whether the contents are erased at (say) midnight

Many thanks for the quick response.

Here’s what triggered my email:

I had 6 Physical Screens, 12 RDP sessions etc.

I was look at the content store directory wonder where the CommServeDR folder had disappeared to:

Yes - I was looking at a Media agent (and not the CommServe)

I realised that 15 minutes ago (and should have updated this post earlier

hi @YYZ

I would say that the content remains here until a new DR backup is performed and complete. Then it gets ‘wiped’.

But in details there’s a DR folder inside, and also a DR_sequence_number folder.

From my memories, when a DR backup starts, the dumps go to the single DR folder, and there’s a mechanism I don’t remember that moves data or renames the folders.
