Event Code: 18:189 Severity Critical
Desription: Failed to connect to RMAN catalog databas
I need that backups than end with a critical event whose event code is 18:189, show up as completed with errors

Hi
Could you please describe the issue bit more, do you see this error after the oracle software upgrade ? or is it restored instance?
This issue some times occurs when you don't have File system agent installed.
+6In this moment, when the job is completed whith this error, Commvault marks the job as "Completed"(green).I need when the job have that event or error (18:189) , the job will finished completed whit erros ( orange)

There is an additional setting that you can use to force a pending status in cases where the RMAN catalog is down or not accessible during the Oracle backup:
