Delete old backups from servers

Hi,

How to make sure that CommCell delete the old backups ?  

I am running CommServe v 11:28:19

I would recommend first investigating the reason that jobs are not aging.  In the CommCell console, you can run a report called the Data Retention Forecast and Compliance report.  You can run it against an individual storage policy or a library.  You will see a column that lists the reason that each job is held in retention.

Can you please provide more information?  Are you wanting to delete all backups?  Delete some backups?  Are the backups on Tape, Disk, Cloud?

Backups on disks on the server and it is supposed to be deleted by CommCell as they are old and retentiontio set to 30 days

It will be done, but my main question is, why are these old backups still available? CoomCell should only keep the latest backups when nothing has changed.

There are rules for retention.  The report mentioned will tell you why each job is being held past retention.
