Our Community Gamification Rank System
Welcome to the heart of our community! We believe that every contribution deserves recognition, whether it’s a helpful answer, a thoughtful reply, or a simple "like". Our community rank system is designed to celebrate your journey from newcomer to proven expert.
The goal of this system is to foster a helpful, collaborative environment. The ranks serve three primary purposes:
- Trust signaling: Helping you identify experienced community members who consistently provide high-quality answers.
- Activity tracking: Celebrating your personal journey and growth within the community.
- Community health: Rewarding behaviors such as marking responses as solutions, which make the Community more valuable for everyone.
How to Earn Points
Your activity in the community automatically translates into points:
| Action | Points Awarded | Why it matters |
| Provide a Correct Answer | 25 | You solved a peer's problem! (Marked as Best Answer by the author or moderator) |
| Post a Reply | 15 | You are keeping the conversation going. |
| Receive a Like/Vote | 15 | The community values your input. |
| Give a Like/Vote | 10 | You are supporting your peers. |
| Create a New Topic | 10 | You are starting a new discussion. |
The Rank Ladder
As you accumulate points and reach specific milestones, you will automatically level up. Here is the path to the top:
The Entry Tiers
- Novice: Your starting point! Everyone begins here.
- Apprentice: This is where you start making your mark, by giving at least 5 replies.
- Explorer: For those who have shared their first solution (marked as Best Answer) and started a discussion of their own.
The Mid Tiers
- Challenger: You’re providing real value to your peers, with at least 10 accepted solutions (marked as Best Answer).
- Resilience Champion: A pillar of the community who has helped answer at least 60 questions (marked as Best Answer).
The Elite Tiers
- Guardian: A rare rank for our most dedicated members, you’re kind of a big deal around here!
- Defender: Our current top ranking, you not only know your stuff but you’re great at sharing your knowledge too.
Important Note:
Special Designations: You may also see users with titles like Employee, Community All Star, or Certified Expert. These are manual designations awarded by the Community team for official roles or verified professional expertise.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How do I get "Answers Provided" points?
A: When you reply to a question and the author (or a moderator) marks your reply as the "Best Answer", you earn the Answer points which count toward your next rank.
Q: I have enough points, why haven't I levelled up?
A: Ranks are calculated based on a combination of points, activity (replies/topics), and how long your community account has been active. Check the table above; you might have the points, but you might need to provide one more "Accepted Solution" or wait a few more days to hit the "Age" requirement.
Q: Do my points disappear if I stop posting?
A: No! Your points and ranks are permanent badges of honor reflecting your total contribution to the community history.
Q: Can I lose my rank?
A: Ranks are generally permanent. However, the community team reserves the right to adjust points or ranks if a user is found to be "gaming the system" (e.g. posting spam just to get points).
