Commvault is introducing a new feature, "Log Analyzer," to streamline and enhance the troubleshooting process for job failures. Current Challenge: When a job fails, identifying the root cause through log file analysis is a repetitive and time-consuming process, leading to resource utilization burdens and delays in restoring production environments. Solution: Log Analyzer This feature automates log file analysis, identifying relevant errors, providing root cause analysis, and suggesting actionable resolutions. It integrates with past Support case resolutions and Knowledge Base (KB) articles to deliver precise diagnoses and feasible solutions. Benefits: Faster and more effective troubleshooting for customers. Reduced reliance on Commvault Support for initial issue analysis. Continuous improvement of the analytics engine through learning from each analysis. How to Get Started: Customers can submit their request to turn on this feature using their Commcell ID from this link: https://forms.office.com/r/yFSASDjJeA. Once submitted, within 48 hours, the feature will be enabled all subsequent Sendlogfiles jobs will process log files automatically for analysis. Results will be emailed to you automatically. Process: After log file submission, the analysis will begin. Within one hour of the Sendlogfiles job completion, the requestor will receive an email containing: Errors identified.
