How can I set a backup of only files in a specific directory. In which different directories with different names and different files constantly appear. But I need to backup only files

hello @Leixim

You can manage this at the subclient level by navigating to the content tab. From there, you can browse and select any files you need as below .

@Damian Andre In this case, I still backup directories, but without the files in them. And I need to backup only files

I’m not sure I fully understand. Are you saying using x:\path\* backs up files and directories (but the directories are empty), and that is not what you want (you dont want to even see sub-directories).

Or are you saying you want to backup all the files, even in sub-directories, but to ignore the sub-directories when restoring and only see the files, so

x:\path\dir1\file1

x:\path\dir2\file2

and see file1 and file2 on the restore window but no subdirectory?

@Damian Andre  For example. I have folder Root. In this folder i have file1, file2, file3, folder1, folder2, folder3. I need backup only files (file1, file2, file3) without folder1, folder2, folder3.

If I use mask Root\* i backup all files and folder1, folder2, folder3(they are empty). I need only files.

hello @Leixim
Have you given this a try?

@Mohamed Ramadan  I don't have any permanent files in the directory. They change often, so I can't just select the files.

hello @Leixim

What about file extensions? If the files you want to back up share the same extension, you can use a format like /dir/*.txt or /dir/*.bak ...etc
