Hi ALL,

Our client want that when we run a restore of a server from Site A to Site B the restore network speed should be 200 MB/hour. Is this possible in Commvault.

I know that we can use Throttle Network Bandwidth at client level but not sure if enabling this will throttle restore job or not??

Please help if there is any way that we can throttle network bandwidth for Restore Job??

Hi @Rahul18081

Not sure which version you’re running but according to docs the throttling should apply to restores as well… At least this is how I understand it.

From https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/configuring_network_throttling.html

“By default, network throttling is disabled. You can enable the throttling options for multiple clients by configuring this option on the client computer group. Once configured, the throttling options are applied to all data transfer and control message operations, for example, Data Protection operations including Laptop Backups, Dash copy, and Data Recovery Operations.”

But I never had the need for doing this so I can’t really confirm this to be true or not.,
