I’m trying to deploy the CIS pre-hardened ova image and i can’t login on windows.
i have deployed three times the .ova and respect the password complexity rules.
it doesn’t work.
I see older topics but it seems that it’s not fixed.
Please advice
Christophe

@ChrisCCWhen you deploy the ova it will boot immediately after the deployment. Starts the VM without any failiures? During the deployment it should ask you to set up your own password.
Hello Ralph,
My installation’s tries with hardened ova image goes wrong. So i have done a fresh windows installation and use the cis benchmark kit and manually harden my VM.
@ChrisCC That’s the problem. I’m quite sure your laptop is not able to provide 16 cores and 24 GB RAM. The prep script on the first VM boot will fail and it will never run again. First you have to open the ova file with a zipper and edit the vm config file.
