I have some Linux files that I need to restore to a Windows server. I definitely have some files that have similar names but are different on the Linux server because of case sensitivity. How will these files get restored?

Windows operating system does not maintain case-sensitivity of the file names. Therefore, when you perform a cross-platform restore from a Unix client to a Window Client, if there are two case-sensitive files with same name, the case sensitivity of the files is ignored and the files are overwritten. For example, if you are trying to restore files named SAMPLE and sample from Unix to Windows, the file which is restored last will overwrite the first one that was restored. Be sure to restore these to different locations.
