Jira backup on-premisses

As often, Arlie can't answer my question. The first response is always very confident, but when I ask for documentation, links, or other supporting information, it backs down and ultimately tells me to contact Commvault Support or my Commvault account representative.

And Commvault Support has become pretty good at simply forwarding Arlie's answers, so I think the quickest way to get a real answer is to ask here.

We need to backup Atlassian Jira. I see Commvault SaaS has a solution for this.
But what if I want to back it up on-premisses. Is this possible?

Arlie says no problem, simular as Saas, but cannot provide me more info than that.

So, my question, can we? And if so, can I find this information and configuation guide online?

Hi ​@DannyJ - yes, you can back up Jira using the self-hosted / on-prem software as well as SaaS. The basic documentation can be found here: https://documentation.commvault.com/11.44/software/configure_backups_for_atlassian_jira.html

Thank you for your reply. 
I had found these articles, but it was not clear for me if it also applied to on-premisses commcells.
Also, I could not find the same or simular articles in the 11.40 documentation.

Do you need to upgrade to 11.44 to backup Jira?
If I do a search for Jira, I got one hit in the 11.40 documentation

I think is saying that you can forward errors detected by CV  to Jira to create a ticket.

@DannyJ which Arlie did you use? Because when I use the online Arlie AI assistent it reports back all fine.

Same as you I suppose, https://arlie.commvault.com/. But my question was a bit more specific. The links initialy shared by arlie were for 11.44
When I asked for 11.40 documentation it shared me some dead links.
And when I confronted it, he could not explain and told me to go to Commvault Support or my Commvault account representative. 

There are more examples like this, where Arlie has to backtrack on its previous answers when confronted with lines in the very article it referred to that say the exact opposite.

Support was released very recently, hence I think it is not covered in FR40. If you want to use it you will have to upgrade to FR44.
