hi

I have a question about the local admin user.

is the user needed? Can i delete him or remove some permissions?

Im talking about the default user that is created when first creating the commcell

As advised by Jacek, the admin user is the first user ever created on the environment and it will have “master” permissions.

It is a good idea to keep it enabled with a very strong password and only use it as a fail safe, breakglass account when all other credentials are not working.

Besides, it cannot be removed as shown above.

The very first user created in the commcell is used for certain internal task and cannot be deleted. Even attempt to delete this user will fail :

Hello @arik

Please be aware, that the account it is useful even when Your domain is compromised. So in critical case You can use that account to get access to the Commserve server.

Just give it a very long complex password which is updated on a yearly basis and put it in a vault so you can use it as a breaking glass account.
