Hi Team,

How can I achieve to restore the Ms SQL transaction log backup after transaction log backup job completed to the disk as a bak file ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @0ber0n

Yes this is possible. You can schedule the restore to run a time shortly after the backup has completed and use the restore to disk option.

If you are looking for an automated restore for right when the backup completes you can leverage the pre/post script. Save the restore as a script and use that as a post backup script.

Note if you are just looking to restore the latest log backups you will want to leverage the following options.

https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/advanced_restore_options_options_02.html

  1. On the Options tab, select the Latest Backup Data check box and the Apply Log Backups Only check box, and then click OK.
