Oracle Online backup failed with RMAN channel encountered error during initialization.

Dear Team,

 

Oracle database backup is getting failed due to below error, I have checked for check readiness and getting and not ready only oracle db.

 

Error Code: [18:178]
Description: RMAN channel encountered error during initialization. Please run Check Readiness on the client to diagnose and resolve the issues

 

  • RMAN SBT channel allocation: [Failed]
    • Connect string: sys/***@PROD
    • SBT library path: /opt/commvault/Base/libobk.so
    • RMAN channel encountered error during initialization. Please run Check Readiness on the client to diagnose and resolve the issues.

Kindly help us how to fix.

Ensure /opt/commvault/Base/libobk.so exists and is correctly linked in $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libobk.so.

After checking this if you still encounter the error, please share the RMAN log.
