When installing an agent on linux server lets say a cluster of postgres servers, do i have to specify the unix group?
Cant you backup the servers without the unix group?

I personally follow the same approach I have done from every prior release of Commvault/Simpana. Which per doc link, if I am installing a database agent, I make sure the commvault install group who owns that installation is common with the database unix group for the db application.
I’d recommend following this same approach and it should avoid any problems.
