Hello,

I have a PLAN PLAN_A this plan uses a Cloud Library S3 Cloud_A bucketA and two media agent ma_A_01 and ma_A_02

 

I created a new PLAN PLAN_B using a Cloud Library S3 Cloud_B bucket B and two media agent ma_B_01 and ma_B_02

 

I have a client using PLAN_A

I’ve changed the PLAN from PLAN_A to PLAN_B

When I try to perform a fulll backup Commvault try to get some informations from Cloud A

Do you know what could be the error ?

The Cloud_A will be decommissioned soon and we don’t need the data in it.

Hi Bloopa,

With some VSA jobs it can try to pull VM metadata from the previous backup. This shouldn’t happen with a full job though. Is the job a synthetic full by any chance?

The simplest solution would be to configure access from Commvault-Access-Node-02 to bucketA as this read attempt should only be a single request if this is a traditional full backup.

If this is a traditional full backup and your access node cannot be configured to access bucketA then I would recommend raising a support incident so our support team can review your logging and identify the cause and a process forward.

I’ve opened both ticket on Commvault, and the question to the community.
ticket is 250703-702
Unfortunately, AWS team prefer to not share the old bucket with the new media agent.
I’ll check with support team

It seems that we had some issues with IAM roles / Polcies attached to the MA
after a reconfig from AWS site, all is fine now…
