The CommServe server must be deployed separately before registering HyperScale Edge appliances, as the Edge node relies on an existing and reachable CommServe during its setup process. It is not included as part of the HyperScale Edge deployment. Before initiating the setup, ensure that the CommServe is installed, running, and accessible, and be prepared to provide its FQDN during configuration. Additionally, required ports such as TCP 8400 and 443 must be open between the Edge node and the CommServe. If the CommServe is behind a firewall, appropriate network configurations should be in place to allow communication. In case the registration fails, verify that the CommServe is online, check DNS resolution and connectivity between the systems, and review the Edge node logs for any related errors.

Hello @Bronco

Thanks oke i will try, so for hyperscale edge just like the media agent right?

And the appliance can i change the hostname and no impact for installation?
