Hi,

I just have a question that, if I want to encrypt my data, I just need to go to System and check the encryption option or I need to do anything else? Thank you.

You appear to be looking at the global CommCell settings.
That will encrypt all copies.  You can also encrypt just HSX.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi @Scott Moseman Thank you so much for the response. Would that create latency when the backups run? And how to I tell if my data are encrypted?

The performance impact is probably a rounding error.  I have never heard from anyone about a performance impact after enabling encryption.  It’s not going to be noticeable.

I’m not sure how to tell if data is encrypted.  I think one of the backup job reports will have a flag to let you know the job was encrypted.

Thanks,
Scott
