Hi All,

We are in the process of rolling out HyperScale X 4 disk nodes for a customer as part of a global standard for them.  Hardware has been procured in line with the published Reference Architecture for the Dell EMC R650 nodes.  Checking documentation today I note that the Dell R650 has been removed from the 4-disk node models:

https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/essential/132722_design_specifications_for_hyperscale_x_reference_architecture.html

and:

https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/expert/132722_design_specifications_for_hyperscale_x_reference_architecture.html

In both cases the updated date for the documentation is 1 September 2023 (11 days ago).

These servers have not been listed under the deprecated platforms either. Is this a documentation oversight or has support for the Dell EMC 4 disk nodes been dropped?

I’ve attached the PDF for the R650 reference architecture.

Hello @Michael Woodward

Checking with our Hyperscale Team there have been no announcements regarding end of support for this model. It may be best to check with your Account Representative for further information.

Thank you,
