As part of our continued effort to make your Commvault Community experience more engaging and rewarding, we’re excited to announce that a refreshed Gamification experience is coming soon!
In addition to the launch of our All Stars program, we’re also leveling up how community members at large earn badges, climb the leaderboard, and celebrate contributions. We’re reimagining how you earn badges, climb the leaderboard, and celebrate your contributions, building on the system we introduced nearly five years ago. Our Community and the industry have evolved a lot since then, and this update is designed to better reflect the value of your participation today.
To prepare for these updates, the Community will undergo a short maintenance window while we implement the new gamification features. This will take place on December 5th, 2025, and we expect it to last less than half a day.
Alongside the new gamification rollout, later this year, we’ll be publishing a how-to guide with updated rank levels, badge details, and everything you need to understand what’s changing. Our goal is to have this ready by the end of the year.
Once the update is complete, you’ll notice new achievement badges, rank levels and names, and a restructured points system designed to recognize and reward engagement more comprehensively (and creatively).
Your current activity, posts, and recognition will stay the same. In some cases, members will need to take new actions to trigger new badges and recognition. While we expect all changes to go smoothly and don’t anticipate any disruption, you may observe some odd behaviors or lags along the way. Please call those out to us if you bump into anything or have questions.
