SHIFT returns live to New York City November 11-12 with exclusive sessions and networking opportunities you won’t find anywhere else. Read on for a deep dive into what you’ll find at the event.

Agenda

It’s a packed agenda, starting the afternoon of Tuesday 11th with a series of Hands on Labs and Workshops. For those pursuing CPE credits through ISC2, SHIFT sessions can be submitted directly to ISC2, up to 7.5 hours. (Actual credit allocation will be determined by which events and sessions you attend.)

Hands on Labs and Workshops

Two 4-hour, instructor-led courses. These courses usually cost USD $1000 each but will be free of charge for SHIFT NYC attendees.

  • The Commvault Cyber Resilience Administrator Course aims to equip participants with critical knowledge to integrate technology, people, and processes to maintain robust cyber resilience and swift recovery in the face of evolving cyber threats.
  • The Commvault Cyber Resilience Certification Course aims to help organizations become cyber ready by seamlessly integrating technology, people, and processes to maintain business continuity in the face of cyber threats.

We’ll also run three 60-minute simulations:

  • The Cyber Resilience Workshop helps companies prepare for and respond to cyber-attacks. It covers the differences between Disaster Recovery and Cyber Recovery plans, the importance of early detection through advanced warning systems, what key stakeholders to involve, and how to conduct simulation exercises to test and improve response capabilities.
  • Commvault Recovery Range is a first-of-its-kind immersive lab that not only simulates real cyber-attacks but also focuses on the critical recovery phase. You’ll race against the clock to save a major enterprise under siege. Navigate massive environments, combat live attack scenarios, stress-test your response strategy, and see where you stand if it all goes wrong.
  • Minutes to Meltdown demonstrates how a single vulnerability can lead to a full-blown cyberattack. It highlights the critical role of leadership during a cyber crisis. In this simulated cyber-attack experience, you will test your decision-making and resilience as you manage compliance, media, and staff concerns as you work through the attack response as a team.

On the morning of Wednesday 12th, hear from our keynote speakers

Keynotes

Join Commvault’s Sanjay Mirchandani, Rajiv Kottomtharayil, Anna Griffin and Pranay Ahlawat along with industry perspectives from Rumman Chowdhury, Ph.D., Co-Founder & CEO, Humane Intel and AI Steering Committee member, City of New York and Melissa Hathaway, Cyber Resilience Council Chair, and others.

On Wednesday afternoon, you can join our breakout tracks.

Breakout Tracks

We’re running 6 different breakout tracks, and participants can earn ISC2 credits by attending.

  • Cyber Resilience & Recovery Track. Topics include cloud-native backups, zero-trust architecture, recovery best practices, and innovative metrics like Mean Time to Clean Recovery (MTCR). Learn how to protect critical operations, recover faster, and maintain reliable, secure data you can trust.
  • AI Governance & Protection Track. AI-driven threats are transforming cybersecurity and traditional defenses are no longer sufficient. Learn strategies such as protecting AI workloads, enabling rapid recovery with the REBUILD framework, and leveraging autonomous AI agents for real-time threat detection and response.
  • Security Strategy & Governance Track. Learn how to build and maintain a robust security posture with a focus on strategic approaches and effective governance to protect your organization against evolving cyber threats. Discover how automation enhances cyber recovery with Cleanroom Recovery and threat detection, explore emerging cyberattack methods using unconventional tech, and examine the ethical balance between surveillance data collection and privacy.
  • Threat Intelligence & Operations Track. As traditional network perimeters disappear, intelligence and operational strategies need to be agile and scalable. Zero Trust Identity and Access Management are essential for securing hybrid and multi-cloud environments, and building custom recovery strategies tailored to your specific workloads and risks contribute to robust protection and resilience against threats.
  • Business Growth & Communication Track. As cyber threats evolve, organizations must better communicate and quantify risk to drive smarter decisions. Topics include strategies for engaging your executives, data-driven approaches to cyber risk quantification, and expert insights on ransomware negotiations and cyber insurance.
  • Partner Session. This is a dedicated track for Commvault partners where Senior Vice President of Global Partners and Channel, Michelle Graff, will share her strategic vision for the Commvault partner ecosystem, offering insights into future opportunities and growth strategy. Additionally, Commvault leaders will dive into our latest product announcements and celebrate excellence with our new global partner awards.
