Commvault has been busy releasing exciting new capabilities to version 11.38 of the Commvault Cloud platform so you can keep more of your data safe and secure. Over the past few months, we’ve announced numerous enhancements for supporting more cloud workloads and enabling your continuous business.  
 

Commvault continues to expand our ecosystem for cloud-first environments. Additional capabilities for AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI environments allow companies to protect and recover cloud data against emerging data loss threats. Commvault Cloud makes the world’s fastest recovery fool-proof and predictable, so that data is always secure and available, wherever it lives. Here are some key highlights for what is now available and coming soon. 
 

Backup & Recovery for Google Workspace 

Keep your critical Google Workspace data safe and recoverable from data loss threats. The Commvault Cloud Backup & Recovery solution now provides reliable protection for Gmail, Google Drive, and Shared Drives, with extended retention to enable your organization’s productivity, even after incidents like cyberattacks or accidental deletions. Expanding Support for Amazon AWS and S3 

We’re introducing many exciting new capabilities for Amazon workloads. 

• Cloud Rewind for AWS: When a breach occurs, Cloud Rewind reduces the time to rebuild AWS infrastructures from weeks to minutes maintaining cyber resiliency. Now you can rapidly recover critical data, cloud applications, and configurations to a clean state and swiftly rebuild their cloud environments to a known safe state after cyber incidents.

• Clumio Backtrack for Amazon S3 and DynamoDB: Rapidly roll back changes for large amounts of Amazon S3 objects to a specific version at a specific point in time with Clumio Backtrack.  

• Cleanroom Recovery for AWS: If you’re using AWS as your primary cloud, now you can seamlessly recover critical workloads into an AWS environment as your Cleanroom Recovery target. 

• Air Gap Protect for AWS: This feature will allow customers to confidently store, protect, and scan their data in a secure environment while keeping it separate from their AWS infrastructure. Administrators can take advantage of the benefits of air-gapped storage at a lower cost and apply it across their AWS environments.
   

Enhanced Recovery for Active Directory  

Recovering Active Directory is foundational to maintaining continuous business after a cyberattack, yet traditional methods are too complex and prone to error. Commvault Cloud Backup & Recovery for Active Directory Enterprise Edition brings a new level of resilience to Active Directory by enabling automated, rapid recovery of the AD forest after ransomware attacks and irreversible forest corruption.

Fight Ransomware Earlier 

Commvault empowers our customers to fortify their defenses against cyber threats by leveraging CrowdStrike Falcon with our Enterprise Backup and Recovery platform. The CrowdStrike integration facilitates early threat detection, enabling prompt and coordinated responses that safeguard backup assets, secure sensitive data, and initiate proactive recovery actions. 

Backup Kubernetes Containers

As businesses modernize their applications, many have chosen Kubernetes as their go-to platform to manage large amounts of data for hybrid cloud apps. Commvault enables Kubernetes backup and recovery specifically designed for large objects with a solution that seamlessly interacts with the Kubernetes API server to discover and collect application data and configurations. This reduces the load on the Kubernetes API server and increases the reliability and recovery readiness.

Protect Data at the Edge 

Today’s cyber resilience must extend beyond on-premises data centers to edge and remote sites. Companies need to ensure the data and apps for their remote and branch locations receive the same level of protection as their on-premises and cloud deployments. HyperScale Edge enables seamless data protection at remote sites, providing flexibility and visibility for managing remote data and applications.
